The Moremi Game Reserve comprises grasslands, acacia tree forests, savannahs, and dense mopane woodlands, along with pans, floodplains, and lagoons. The Moremi Game Reserve, extending into the Okavango Delta, is renowned as Africa’s premier game watching area. The Batwana tribal leaders established this reserve in 1963 to safeguard the traditional hunting grounds of the Delta. A diverse range of African wildlife seeks sanctuary in the meticulously safeguarded game reserve.
Day 1: Transfer to Moremi National reserve
Our departure for the Moremi excursion is scheduled for 05:30 in the morning, aiming to reach our destination by 08:00. Setting up camp early will enable us to explore the area to the fullest. Upon reaching our campsite, we’ll pause for tea and rusks before embarking on our Moremi drive, allowing us some time to explore the park and discover what awaits us. Following our journey to Moremi, we will pause for a brief lunch before embarking on an adventure to seek out wildlife, traversing lagoons and pools along the river channels, as well as open grasslands. Upon arriving at camp, we will refresh ourselves and then engage in various camp activities. This encompasses acquiring skills in traditional methods, engaging in classic games, and participating in master workshops focused on traditional cooking. Following a soothing hot shower in the bathroom of your private tent, you can begin preparing your campfire meal.
Day 2: Discover Moremi National Reserve
After a hearty breakfast on this day, we will set off on our exciting and adventurous morning game drive. We will depart early to observe the vibrant early birds in Moremi, a place renowned for its remarkable wildlife. The optimal time to observe wildlife is during the morning when they are most active, exploring their surroundings and greeting the new day.

Upon our return to camp, we will freshen up with a shower and, depending on the time, engage in camp activities such as traditional cookery master classes or enjoy a leisurely siesta. Following a refreshing hot shower in the privacy of your en-suite Meru tent, you will savor a delightful campfire dinner before settling in for the night. This camping vacation will be non-participatory, with our team handling all camp duties. Your accommodations will include comfortable mattresses, a private bathroom, and a toilet.
Day 3: Departure
Awaken to say goodbye to the stunning landscapes and cherish the beautiful memories created. We will depart to enjoy one final exceptional game viewing experience at the famous Moremi Game Reserve. The Moremi Game Reserve is home to a diverse array of major naturally occurring herbivore and carnivore species, alongside more than 400 bird species, including many migratory and some endangered.
This makes it an outstanding destination for both game viewing and bird watching. Although they are challenging to spot, Black and White Rhinos have recently been reintroduced, transforming the reserve into a “Big Five” destination. Your journey back to Maun will be filled with opportunities to discover sights and observe wildlife.
