It was set up in 2005 by 172 Maasai landowners and Porini camps to set aside some land as cattle-free zones to help protect wildlife. It is a large wildlife conservancy that is run by the local Maasai people. It covers 17,500 acres in Koyaki Lemek area of Maasai Mara and is home to many animals, including big cats like lions and leopards.

Olarek Orok conservancy.

Olarek Orok conservancy is in the north-western corner of Maasai Mara National Reserve that offers incredible safari experience. Millions of wildebeest, thousands of zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles cross the Mara River from the Serengeti in search of greener grass and water.
