Day 1: Nairobi and Travel to Lake Nakuru National Park.
On the first day of the safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you either from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or from your hotel in Nairobi and welcome you then brief you about the 2 day Lake Nakuru national park. After the briefing you will embark on your journey from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park, this is where you pass through the diverse and scenic landscape offering a diverse into the country’s varied ecosystems. As you leave Nairobi, you will pass through the city’s outskirts, known for stunning hills, sprawling suburbs and bustling markets. As you head northwest, the landscape gradually changes, with the urban scenery giving way to rural countryside dotted with small villages, farms and maize fields.
You will continue exploring the Kikuyu Highlands, with the Aberdare Mountains rising up in the distance, their peaks shrouded with mist, as you continue into the Rift Valley, the landscape flattens out, with the road passing through the town of Naivasha, and once you arrive the park. You will check into your lodge and be served with lunch. After lunch you will go for the afternoon game drive.
This is a stunning experience that takes you through the park’s wildlife rich areas, where you can witness the majestic beauty of the flamingos and other water birds, and the Baboon Cliff, which offers wonderful views of the lake and the surrounding landscape with the opportunities to spot incredible animal species like leopards, lions, rhinos and among many others. After the afternoon experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Departure.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast, after breakfast you will check out of the lodge and meet your safari guide. After you will have en route game drive as you exist the park; which gives a chance to explore the park and spot a range of animals that inhabitants in the park such as Rhinos, African wild dogs, zebras, elands, waterbucks, lions, Cape buffaloes and the rare Rothschild giraffe many more. When you exist the park you will then proceed a drive back to Nairobi with an enroute lunch.
After lunch, you will proceed with your journey in Nairobi and upon your arrival you will be dropped at your convenient place either at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your next flight or dropped at your hotel in Nairobi that will make your safari come to the end.
