Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Maasai Mara for Afternoon Game Drive.
On the first day of your safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you from either at your hotel in Nairobi or from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, welcomes you and give you a brief introduction about the safari.
You will then transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve. Along the way you will have the stunning views along the way, including Narok and Great Rift Valley with the volcanic hills and lakes that offers you wonderful experience along the way. And once you arrive to Maasai Mara National Reserve, you will be transferred to your lodge and check in and be served with lunch. After lunch, you will go for a game drive as you are exploring the endless savannah plains. You will spot the diverse numbers of wildlife including the big five mammals that is lions, buffaloes, rhinos, leopards and elephants and others all amidst the stunning backdrop of rolling hills as you are watching various bird species. After the afternoon game drive you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full day experience in Masai Mara National Reserve.
On the second day of the safari, you will wake up early in the morning and be served with delicious breakfast; meet your safari guide and go for early morning you will have a chance to view more early raisers count around the park including lions, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, hippos, Thompson’s gazelle among many others with your guide coming in hand to give you all the details of the animals you will have spotted plus their ways of life, or you can as well do the optional safari of the Maasai village tours where you are going to visit the Maasai people in their homes through interacting with them, watching and enjoying their dances and among others.
The Maasai are tall that are proud of their culture, as the women wear the jewels with the bright beaded earrings and wearing the red, blue and purple patterns of the shukas and scarves they wear and this a 2 hour’s activity where you enjoy the Maasai’s traditional songs, dances, cultural practices and community walk and many fascinating others. And the experience you can either go back to your lodge for lunch or you can have the picnic lunch as you enjoy more of the park.
After lunch you have more experience in the reserve, this is during the afternoon game drive, and here you will be enable you to explore other areas of the Masai Mara National Reserve and when its during (July to October) you will witness the annual great migration on Mara River which is a breathtaking spectacle, as hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes make their perilous crossing in search of greener pastures, this is where you watch the crocodiles and big cats as they are catching and preying on the wildebeests, zebras, antelopes as their next meals. Or you can go for an afternoon game drive to spot the animal species that you missed during the previous game drive, as your safari guide helps you to observe various numbers of wildlife including the big cats and big five mammals and many others, after the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Departure.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and be served with breakfast, and checkout from your lodge, and meet your safari guide and transfer back to Nairobi, along the way from your lodge you will have an enroute game drive where you will spot beautiful early raisers like buffaloes, lions, elephnats and among many others, and later you will proceed with your journey to Nairobi.
Along the way you will have the stunning views and enroute lunch. After lunch you will continue with your journey to Nairobi and you will be then dropped to your place of convenience that is either to Jomo International airport for your next flight back home or to your hotel in Nairobi that will make your Kenya safari come to the end.
