Day 1: pickup and transfer to Amboseli National Park.
On the 1st day of 4 days Amboseli National Park safari your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi or from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris. Amboseli national park the 2nd popular Kenya wildlife safari destination blessed with a scenic backdrop of Mountain Kilimanjaro and its snowcapped peak, the park is also a home to large herds of elephants with impressive tusks. The drive from Nairobi to the park takes you through the Athi-Kapiti plains, a vast, open grassland that’s home to a wide range of wildlife, as you approach the park the landscape shifts to amore arid and savanna-like with the perfect view of Mount Kilimanjaro in a distance.
You will arrive in the park in time for lunch which you will have after checking into your lodge, in the afternoon you will head to the park for a game drive on which you will enjoy many animals like elephants, giraffes, rhinos, buffaloes, leopards, and among others and a spectacular sunset in Kitirua Hill area which is worth visiting. After the experience you will return to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2 and 3: Amboseli National Park Full Day
On the 2nd and 3rd of 4 days Amboseli National Park safari you will wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast. After you will meet your safari guide and go for the morning game drive to spot the early raisers, you will spot the big five mammals that includes the elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, leopards, and lions. During the experience you will explore the park’s stunning park spots like Longinye River area, Amboseli swamp and others that will give you the intriguing experience.
Alternatively you can go for the Maasai village tours, where you will visit s local Maasai village, where you will be welcomed by the villagers and introduced to their customs and traditions and daily life. You will learn about the Maasai’s semi-nomadic lifestyle, their intricate jewelry and clothing, and their rich cultural heritage, while also having the chance to support the local community through the purchase of handmade crafts and souvenirs. After the experience, you will be transferred back to the lodge for lunch, and after lunch you will be transferred back to the park for the afternoon game drive.
During the afternoon game drive, you will spot the diverse numbers of animal species in the park’s diverse habitats; you will have an opportunity to explore the plains of Amboseli and watch many animals such as large herds of elephants, lions, giraffes, gazelles, buffaloes, rhinos, antelopes and many more as you enjoy the stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Alternatively you can go for the guided nature walks as this offer you immersive experience that allows you to connect with the park’s stunning natural beauty and the en encountering with the wildlife while you are moving on foot, while accompanied by the knowledgeable guide, you will explore the park’s scenic trails, while discovering unique flora, spotting beautiful and colourful bird species and smaller wildlife, and gaining insight into the park’s delicate ecosystem and the intricate relationships between its inhabitants. After the experience you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 4: transfer to Departure.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy delicious breakfast. After morning breakfast at your lodge, you will check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide and go for an en-route game drive this is when you will watch the most active animal species in the park and having the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop, you will scan the savannah for the last-minute sightings of Amboseli’s incredible wildlife, like lions, elephants, giraffes and among others, thus creating a memorable farewell to the park’ stunning landscapes and the incredible biodiversity, as you exit the park and proceed back to Nairobi, along the way you will have the enroute lunch. And after lunch you will proceed with your journey back to Nairobi and when you arrival you will be dropped off either at your hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your departure flight back home.
