Day 1: Transfer to Kruger National Park

As early as 07h00 depart from Johannesburg for Kruger National Park. The route takes us through the Highveld with vast, open spaces, down the escarpment and through the beautiful Lowveld area. En-route to the Kruger National Park, we stop for lunch.

After settling into your accommodation, you will go out on your first Kruger safari. This game drive affords you the opportunity to see the nocturnal wildlife Kruger. The Kruger Park Rangers are allowed to return after the normal gate closing times, and because this is not a private Kruger Safari, other guests may be joining you on this drive.

Note: Children younger than 6 years of age are not permitted on open vehicle drives.

Day 2, 3&4: Explore the Kruger National Park

These three days are designated to exploring Kruger National Park.

Kruger Park Safaris are all about getting up early, and head out to the park to see its abundant wildlife. The time you go on your safari varies according to the seasons and camp gate opening times. You will have tea or coffee as well as snacks before departing on a game drive, which usually takes approximately 3 to 4 hours.

Your guide has an intimate knowledge of the Kruger National Park thus leading to a great deal towards brilliant sightings. Also, it the perfect opportunity to see the Kruger National Park in a completely new and uniquely way, and is a must do.

When you return to camp, your lunch will be ready. Then you will have time to enjoy a swim, visit Kruger Park’s shop, where you can find African curios, general food items and drinks, take a walk around the camp, or simply relax in your chalet. Be sure to bring your binoculars along too as Kruger National Park is a bird watcher’s paradise.

Afterwards, we will set off on your afternoon Kruger safari, all of which are conducted in specially-adapted, open game drive vehicles to allow our guests the best viewing experience. Back at your lodge, you will share the African safari stories with other guests after a delicious dinner.

Day 5: Kruger National Park to Gauteng

Today is your final day of a Kruger National Park Safari and this is your final chance to see the Big 5 animals that you haven’t seen yet. After breakfast, you will go for a guided walk in the Kruger National Park affording you the opportunity to experience the bush from a total different perspective. You will get up close and personal with Africa’s wild animals, insects, trees and birds.

Our qualified trail guides take you on a 3-hour walk where you get a chance to come across Africa’s Big 5 on foot. Please note that the focus is not on the Big 5 Encounters, but rather the smaller and often very interesting aspects of the bush that only a walk can offer.

After this amazing experience, you will transfer back to Johannesburg a journey of 6 hours, you will be dropped off either at your hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
