Day 1: Pick up and drive to Tarangire National Park.
On the first day of your safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris, you will pick you up from Arusha town, he will welcome you and brief you about the 3 days Tarangire safari. After the briefing you will be transferred to Tarangire National Park that takes two hours’ drive. Along the way you will pass through the diverse range of the landscapes and the features that showcase the unique natural beauty, and once you get close to the park is marked by a dramatic escarpment, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
As you enter the park, you will be immediately struck by the incredible diversity of the wildlife and the landscape that Tarangire has to offer, that is from the majestic elephants and giraffes to the stunning sunsets and starry night skies. You will check in your lodge for lunch; and after lunch you will be transferred to the park for the afternoon game drive where you will spot diverse animal species like the elephants, buffaloes, lions and among many others. After the experience you will transfer to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full Day Tarangire national park and walking safari.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast, after the breakfast meet your safari guide and get ready for the full experience in the park. You will experience the morning game drive where you will pass around the baobab trees and then savannah in the park, during the experience you will spot the diverse animal species in the morning because that’s when the animal species get out from their hidden places and they are very active.
During the experience you will spot animal species like leopards, elephants, gazelles, zebras, lions and among others, through exploring the best spots in the park like Lemiyonet Hill offers the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and the various numbers of wildlife. Other viewing spots that you can explore during the morning game drive includes Ololmeri Hill, Termite Mounds, Lake Burungi area, Matete Plains, Soitire River, Baobab Tree Area and among others. After the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will be transferred back to the park, you will either go for the afternoon game drive to spot diverse wildlife that missed during the morning game drive, with the backdrop of the wonderful landscape, alternatively you can go for afternoon walking safari this is where you will get the chance of exploring the park on foot and getting close with nature and then the animal species and bird species like spotting animal species like antelopes, giraffes, buffaloes with the expert rangers and guides. After the experience you will return back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Cultural tour and departure.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and be served with a delicious breakfast at your lodge, check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide and get ready for the cultural tour with your packed lunch. This is when you are visiting the homesteads of the local Maasai people, and this when you are going to interacting with the Maasai people, taking part in the traditional dances and others. After the experience you will transfer back to Arusha and once you arrive, your safari guide will drop you to convenient place that will make your safari come to the end.
