Detailed itinerary of 11 Day Tanzania and Zanzibar
Day 1: Pick up and Arusha
As you walk out of the Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha, you will be warmly welcomed by your personal guide with a warm smile. He will take you straight to your hotel in Arusha, where you can relax as prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire
Enjoy breakfast and embark on a 2 hour’s drive to Tarangire National Park, well known for its big groups of elephants and the huge amount of giant baobab trees. These iconic trees can live for hundreds of years and actually are a source of water for elephants during the dry season, as they use a special technique to draw water from them.
When you arrive in the park, go for a game drive exploring the stunning landscape and enjoy sighting of several animals including large herds of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, lions among others.
Enjoy picnic lunch at a picnic site overlooking the Tarangire river, watch out for monkeys that will try to take away your food. Later continue exploring the park on a game drive till evening, head to your lodge for check-in, enjoy dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Manyara
Enjoy early breakfast then head to Lake Manyara National Park a lovely park, lying roughly between Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. The park is home to a beautiful little groundwater forest, a unique ecosystem where you can spot a variety of wildlife including the rare tree climbing lions, leopards, giraffes and blue monkeys among others during the game drives.
In between the game drives, you will have picnic lunch at one of the beautiful scenic picnic sites. Then continue exploring the park and visiting the beautiful Lake Manyara where you will see pink flamingoes, cormorants and other water birds among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Serengeti
Today after breakfast, your driver guide will pick you from your lodge and drive to the famous Serengeti National Park, along the way you will visit a Maasai Village in the Ngorongoro Highlands where you will meet the elders and interact with them, take part in livestock rearing and milking of the livestock, be entertained by local dances and drama among other activities through which you will learn about the culture, beliefs and traditions of this fascinating Tanzania nomadic tribe.
Continue to Serengeti National Park, enjoy picnic lunch and thereafter continue with game drive in the Serengeti plains. In the evening you will drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Full day in Serengeti
After breakfast, head out for a full day of exploring Serengeti National Park, widely known as the best place to go in Africa, mainly because of the Great Migration that passes through here. The enormous, stampeding herds are impressive to watch, as are the vast amount of predators living in the Serengeti plains.
During the game drives you will see a variety of animals including the Big Five – lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, elephants and rhinos, giraffes, cheetahs, African wild dogs, gazelles, wildebeests, zebras among others. Enjoy picnic lunch and continue exploring the endless plains of Serengeti more with excellent sighting of animals till sunset, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Ngorongoro
After an early breakfast you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stop at the view point for view of the crater from above, then descend into the crater floor for a game drive with picnic lunch. The famous Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s seven natural wonders, formed two millions years ago when a vast volcano erupted and is one of the highest concentration of animals, only found in Africa.
During the game drive you will see thousands of animals such as lions, zebras, buffaloes, black rhinos, wildebeests, elands, gazelles, cheetahs, leopards, African wild dogs, leopards and wildebeests among others. Later ascend to the crater rim, head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer to Arusha and transfer to Zanzibar for Stone Town Tour
After breakfast, you will depart for Arusha where your guide will drop you off at Arusha Airport to catch your flight to Zanzibar Island. On arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Stone Town for a tour and dive into the history of this fascinating little town.
Get lost in the amaze of the streets and visit several sites including the Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe), the Slave Market, Darajanu Bazaar, House of Wonders and the Forodhanipark to taste different foods. As the sunsets, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 &9: Zanzibar Beaches
On these two days, you will enjoy the stunning beaches of Zanzibar, search for beautiful shells, and sip fresh coconut water. Take this time to unwind, indulge, and immerse yourself in the beauty of Zanzibar and take a deserved rest and rejuvate.

Day 10: Nungwi
Spend this day on the beautiful Nungwi Beach, a large village at Zanzibar Island’s northernmost tip was once best known as a dhow-building centre. Today, it is the most popular beach travel destination, thanks to the beautiful beach and stunning sunsets.
Spend time relaxing on the beach, there are also several activities to do including taking a walk along the beach and in the village. Nungwi is quite an attractive village to explore.

Day 11: Departure
After breakfast and a bit of relaxation at your resort’s swimming pool depending on the time of your flight, you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport to catch your flight back home or to your next adventure marking the end of your tour and our service.
