10 Days Discover Uganda Safari

The 10 days discover Uganda safari takes you to most of Uganda’s tourist attractions where you have the view of sightseeing and wildlife species, primates. Activities to encounter includes the game drive viewing, boat rides, chimpanzee trekking and the most unforgettable Uganda gorilla trekking experience in the mist!

Day1: Entebbe/Kampala-Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, meet our driver/guide and exchange the greetings and thereafter transfer to Murchison falls national park with en-route visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking on foot and take unforgettable photographs and videos, then after have lunch. Transfer to the park and spend the evening enjoying the top of the falls as to flows through the rock gorges to the bottom before it flows to the delta.

With sheer sided hills covered in forest tumbling down into the rift valley and the ocean blue waters of river Nile, it’s hard to think of a more impressive setting.

 After drive to your lodge either Paraa Lodge/Chobe Safari Lodge/Murchison River Lodge/Fort Murchison camp/Pakuba Safari Lodge. Meal plan: H/B

Day2: Game Drive & Boat Ride

The Northern wing of Murchison is an incredible wildlife area. If you detest crowds and the thought of joining the safari hordes makes you quake in your proverbial boots, then Murchison will take your breath away. It is a Big Five park that offers so much more. Countless wildlife carpet its floor against the backdrop of towering borassus palm trees that is jaw-droppingly impressive. Here, you will see elephant bulls searching for fresh grass and countless giraffes aiming for the leaves in upper branches of whistling acacia trees. It is also not unusual to see lions, leopards, Uganda kobs, hippos and a host of other species.

Then in the afternoon take the unforgettable boat cruise along the River Nile towards the bottom of the falls and this boat cruise takes 2-3 hours. If it were not for the fact that swimming is banned off in the river due to the possibility of becoming a crocodiles lunch, then the shores of Victoria Nile would work just as well as a beach break getaway, as a wildlife watching destination. It is a laid back environment where most of the parks animals come to quench their thirst.

Thereafter return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B

Day3: Safari to Kibale Forest National Park

Have breakfast and after embark the safari jeep to take the full day drive transferring to Kibale national park via the southern escarpments with lunch en-route and upon your arrival with the view of fabled mountain of the moon check in at Kyaninga Lodge/Ndali Lodge/Kibale Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B

Day4: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Walk

Have early morning breakfast and after transfer to the park head offices for briefing about the primates and the forest as well. After with your private porter enter into the rain forest to search for the shy chimpanzees in the tree branches. If you are a wildlife photographer, it is near perfect (especially when the alpha males climb higher up the canopy to where the vegetation thins out somewhat). It is even more exciting when they return to the ground to groom each other or fish termites from anthills by poking them with sticks. This up-close view is just what you need to get that award winning picture.

One tip is take as many pictures as you need, but don’t forget to live in the moment too. This attention will enable you realize why man is believed to have evolved from apes.

Return to the lodge for your refreshment and lunch. In the evening, you will visit the Bigodi wetland for the eco nature walk to search for the rare shoe bill, Sitatunga, white and black colobus, vervet monkeys and manageably. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight, Meal plan: F/B

Day5: Kibale-Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have breakfast and thereafter embark the safari vehicle and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On your arrival in the evening visit the crater lakes to experience the undulating amazing terrain land scapes. Dinner and overnight at Mweya lodge/Katara lodge/Enganzi lodge/Bush lodge. Meal plan: F/B

Day6: Game Drive & Boat Ride

Have breakfast and after go for the dawn game drive looking for the wildlife like the lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, topi, oribi, water and bush bucks among others. This experience takes 3-4 hours and after return to lodge for refreshment and lunch. Then in the evening take the unforgettable boat cruise along the Kazinga Chanel which connects the Ramsar Lake George and Lake Edward and over this cruise be ready to spot wildlife and birdlife species at the shores of the Channel and this boat cruise takes 2-3 hours. Thereafter return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B

Day7: Depart Queen Elizabeth for Bwindi Gorilla Park

Have breakfast and thereafter embark the safari truck and transfer to Bwindi Gorilla National Park via the Ishasha southern sector and with chance you will spot the rare African tree climbing lions, other wildlife species like the oribi, topi, warthogs, water and bush bucks among others. Then transfer to the forest where you will have the unforgettable gorilla trekking in the mist. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany springs/Engagi Safari Lodge/Gorilla Forest Camp/Mutanda Lake Resort. Day8: Uganda Gorilla Trekking

Have early morning breakfast, after embark the safari jeep and transfer to the park headquarters for briefing about the mountain gorillas and the forest as well. After the briefing with your porters enter into the jungle to search for the mountain gorillas. It’s been said before but entering into this tightly forested gem is really like entering a lost world. Even better, while you’re walking around down here, the animal action comes on pretty much non-stop. One such moment is when silverbacks run into rival alpha and start issuing threats by drumming their chests—in a bid to protect their territory.

After your gorilla trek, you will be presented a trekking certificate. Next, you will return to your lodge to relax and wait to dinner. Meal plan: F/B

Day9: Batwa Cultural Trail

Have breakfast, after visit the Mgahinga Gorilla Park for briefing about the park. You will spend much of this day immersing in the heartwarming traditional cultures of the Batwa, a forest tribe that used to live in Mgahinga before it was gazzated in 1994. They will showcase skills they adapted in order to survive. This includes how they used to set fire using the concept of friction, how they used to hunt, build tree houses that are out of reach to troublesome animals and the like. One of the biggest highlights of the tour is a visit to Garama, a spacious underground cave that used to shelter their king and his royal family. After this whole day amazing experience return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B
