Day 1: arrival and transfer to Ol Pejeta conservancy.
On the 1st day of the safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris, will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi or from Jomo Kenyatta International Park. He will welcome you and brief you about the 12 days safari. After the briefing you will embark on your journey to Ol Pejeta Conservancy; that takes you approximately about 3 to 4 hours. You will drive through the scenic countryside of central Kenya, with the perfect views of the Aberdare Mountains and the Kinangop plateau. The drive takes you through the bustling towns of Nanyuki and Nyeri, with the opportunities to spot local wildlife, including the baboons and monkeys and experience the region’s rich cultural heritage, including traditional Kikuyu villages and tea plantations. As you approach the conservancy, the landscape gives way to rolling hills, grasslands and woodlands, setting the stage for unforgettable adventure in the wild.
Upon your arrival, you will check in your lodge and then be served with lunch. After lunch you will go in the conservancy for the afternoon experience. This is where you will embark on the thrilling game drive to spot the Big five mammals that includes the rhinos, buffaloes, elephants, leopards and lions and among other animals in their natural habitat. You will visit the chimpanzee sanctuary, where you will learn about conservation efforts and interact with these fascinating primates. After you will take a scenic walk to the Memorial Park, paying tribute to those who have contributed o conservation, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon tea under the shade of acacia trees, surrounded by the conservancy’s stunning scenery and diverse wildlife. After the experience you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Nakuru national park for afternoon game drive.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and then start your journey to Lake Nakuru national park that takes you approximately about 3hr and 29 minutes to 4 hours. Along the way you will traverse the scenic Kenyan countryside, passing through rolling hills, and rural villages with the glimpses of the majestic Aberdare Mountains. As you approach Lake Nakuru, the landscape shifts to reveal the stunning Lake’s pink-hued waters, with the flamingos, and the surrounding savannah, home of rhinos, lions, and other wildlife, setting the stage for an unforgettable afternoon experience and birdwatching in this iconic national park. Upon your arrival you will check in your lodge and enjoy lunch. After lunch you will go to the park for the afternoon experience.
In the afternoon in the park, you will explore the charming game drive to spot some members of the big five mammals including black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, buffaloes, amidst the park’s stunning scenery. You will take a scenic drive to the lake’s shores, where you will witness the mesmerizing spectacle of millions of flamingos and explore the surrounding woodlands and grasslands, home to a diverse variety of birdlife and wildlife, making for an unforgettable afternoon of exploration and discovery. After you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve and afternoon game drive.
On the 3rd day of the safari, get up early in the morning and then enjoy your delicious breakfast, after breakfast check out from your lodge and then transfer to Maasai Mara national reserve which takes you about 3 and a half to 4 hours. Along the way you will traverse the scenic Kenyan landscape, to where you will pass through vast plains with the glimpses of the majestic Rift valley escarpment. As you move to the south, the scenery shits to reveal the reserve’s signature landscape of grass plains, acacia trees and sparkling rivers, setting the stage for unforgettable adventure in one of Africa’s most renowned wildlife destinations, where the Big five and the great migration await. Upon your arrival you will check in your lodge and then be served with lunch. After lunch you will go for afternoon experience.
In the afternoon you will embark on an exhilarating game drive to witness the majestic big five in the reserve’s stunning grassy plains and acacia woodlands. You will take a scenic game drive along the Mara River, where you will spot hippos, crocodiles and a diverse variety of birdlife and perhaps catch a glimpse of the Great Migration, one of the world’s most spectacular wildlife events, making an unforgettable afternoon of exploration and discovery. After you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Full day in Maasai Mara national reserve.
On the 4th day you will wake up early in the morning and enjoy hearty breakfast. After the breakfast you will meet your safari guide and go for the full day’s safari experience. During the safari you will have the intriguing spotting of the big five mammals. You will visit the Mara River where you can witness the dramatic river crossings of the Great Migration when the period is between July to August. After the morning experience you can either be driven back to your lodge and enjoy lunch or have a picnic lunch. After lunch you will be transferred back to the reserve for the afternoon game drive.
During the afternoon game drive you will explore Oloololo Escarpment that offers breathtaking views of the reserve, as well you can visit Rhino Ridge, Talek River where you can spot the predators like cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests and among many others. After the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Lake Naivasha for afternoon boat ride on Lake Naivasha.
On the 5th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and be served with breakfast. After breakfast, after breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and then transfer to Lake Naivasha. And this will take you about 3 to 4 hours of drive through the majestic rift valley escarpment and the distant Aberdare Mountains. As you proceed to the north, the scenery shifts to reveal the lake’s sparkling waters and surrounding volcanic mountains, setting the stage for a relaxing afternoon exploration and discovery in this wonderful region, where you will encounter a diverse variety of wildlife, bird species and then the acquatic life. And once you arrive you will check in your lodge and then enjoy your lunch.
After lunch, at Lake Naivasha, you will take a serene boat ride across the lake’s tranquil waters, spotting the hippos, water birds and then other aquatic life, while enjoying the stunning scenery of the surrounding hills and then volcanic mountains. You will as well visit the Crescent island, a haven for the wildlife and birdlife and explore the island’s scenic trails, where you may spot giraffes, zebras, antelopes and among others, and then take in the breathtaking views of the lake and its surroundings, making for a relaxing and unforgettable afternoon in nature. Day 6: Transfer to Amboseli National Park for afternoon game drive.
On the 6th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and transfer to Amboseli national park. This will take you approximately 5 hrs and a half to 6 hours’ drive, through the scenic Great Rift Valley, with the perfect views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. You will pass through Nairobi then later embark on your journey until you reach in Amboseli. As you proceed to the south, the landscape shifts to reveal the park’s iconic scenery of grass plains, acacia trees, and swamps with the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro towering in the background, setting the stage for an unforgettable adventure in one of Africa’s premier wildlife destinations, where you will encounter large herds of elephants, buffaloes and other wildlife.
Once you arrive you will check in your lodge and then enjoy lunch. After lunch you will go for the afternoon game drive in the park, on an exhilarating game drive to witness the majestic large numbers of elephants, buffaloes, lions, rhinos, rhinos and the rest of the animals against back of Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peaks. You will take a gorgeous drive to Observation Hill, that will offer you the massive views of the park’s vast plains and surrounding landscape, and visit the Amboseli Elephant Research Project, this is where you learn about conservation and gaining knowledge in to the behavior and knowing the habitat of these magnicifient creatures, makes it unforgettable safari experience. Day 7: Full day in Amboseli national park.
On the 7th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast, you will meet your safari guide and then head to the park for the full day experience. On this day, proceed for an early morning game in search of its famous residents like the well-known predators that is lions, leopards, hyenas and among others and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, and Hippo with a view of Mt Kilimanjaro.
In the afternoon you will go for the afternoon game drive; for more wildlife viewing in the park that’s where you will spot more wildlife that you missed during the morning game drive especially around the water sources as they gather to wash away thirsty which offers you exceptional safari experience through spotting various park’s incredible wildlife. Day 8: Transfer to Tsavo West National Park for afternoon game drive.
The 8th day of the safari, wake up in the morning and then take your delicious breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide and transfer to Tsavo West National Park. This takes approximately about 3hr and 18 minutes. You will traverse the Kenyan landscape passing through the scenic foothills of the Taita Hills, with the glimpses of rural villages and traditional Maasai communities. As you proceed northwest, the scenery offers you the sighting of the park’s unique landscape of the volcanic mountains, lava flows and arid savannah, setting the stage for the exciting adventure in this vast and rugged wilderness area, where you will encounter a diverse variety of wildlife.
When you arrive you will check in your lodge and enjoy your lunch. You will embark in the park for the afternoon game drive experience to spot the park’s big five mammals including the rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and lions, amidst the park’s wonderful landscape of volcanic mountains and arid savannah. You will visit the famous Mzima springs a lush oasis with a variety number of hippos, crocodiles and scenic trails taking in the breathing views of the surrounding landscape and perhaps catching the park’s diverse wildlife. Later you will transfer to the park for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 9: Transfer to Tsavo East National Park for the afternoon game drive.
On the 9th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy the morning breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and transfer to Tsavo East national park with an enroute game drive while spotting the park’s early risers that offers you the incredible safari experience. You will have the perfect views along the way. As you reach the east, you will enjoy the views of the park’s vast and rugged wilderness with its unique landscape of baobab trees, majestic Galana River and among others. And once you arrive you will check in your lodge and enjoy lunch.
After lunch you will go for the afternoon game drive in the park to spot the park’s largest wildlife like the lions, elephants, buffaloes, and leopards and among others without forgetting various bird species. You will explore the Lugard’s Falls, a breathtaking spectacle of the Galana River and explore the park’s surrounding landscape, while perhaps catching the sighting of the park’s diverse wildlife, like giraffes, antelopes and among others that will offer you the best experience. Day 10: Transfer to Diani Beach.
On the 10th day of the safari, get up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge then the safari guide will transfer you to Diani beach; the drive takes you approximately 3 hours and a half to 4 hours. You will have the incredible sightings along the way. And once you arrive you will check in your resort and take your lunch. After lunch you will go for afternoon experience this is where you will bask in the warm tropical sun and indulge in a range of various activities like snorkeling, diving, or simply relax on the pristine white sand. You will take a leisurely walk along the beach, while spotting dolphins and sea turtles or try your hand at water sports like kayaking or paddle boarding. Alternatively you can relax with the rejuvenating massage or spa treatment at your resort that is perfect for the afternoon relaxation and indulgence in this tropical paradise. After the experience you will transfer back to your resort for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 11: Full day at Diani beach.
On the 11th day of the safari, get up early in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast, after breakfast, you will be ready for the full day Diani Beach experience. This is where you will enjoy n various activities like snorkeling, diving excursion to explore the vibrant coral reefs and then the marine. You will follow it up with a leisurely lunch at beachside restaurant; then later after lunch you will participate in the water sports like kayaking or simply relax on the white sands. As the day gets to evening you will take a sunset cruise or simply take a walk along the beach while spotting dolphins and sea turtles. Optional you can finally end your day with a rejuvenating massage or spa treatment that makes your full day colour. Later return to your resort for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 12: Departure.
On the last day of the safari, get up early in the morning and then enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then your safari guide will transfer you to either Moi International Airport or Kenyatta international Airport to catch your flight that will make your safari come to the end.
